ABOUT ACP INDONESIA

The Association of Culinary Professionals (ACP) is a non-profit organization that brings together culinary professionals from various backgrounds and specialties to share their knowledge, skills, and experiences in the culinary arts. The ACP is dedicated to promoting excellence and advancing the culinary profession through education, networking, and collaboration.

OUR HISTORY

Mrs. Suryatini Ganie, is credited with originating the idea that led to the formation of The Association of Culinary Professionals (ACP). Her passion for the culinary arts and her desire to create a platform for culinary professionals from diverse backgrounds sparked the inception of this organization.

Recognizing the need for a collaborative space where chefs and culinary experts could come together to exchange knowledge, skills, and experiences, Mrs. Ganie laid the foundation for what was initially named Top Blanc. Her vision extended beyond just a gathering; she aimed to establish a non-profit entity dedicated to fostering excellence within the culinary profession.

With a focus on education, networking, and collaboration, Mrs. Ganie's idea materialized into the creation of The Association of Culinary Professionals (formerly known as Top Blanc). This association became a hub for culinary professionals to learn, connect, and grow together. Mrs. Ganie's leadership and dedication played a pivotal role in setting the ethos of the ACP, emphasizing the importance of elevating culinary standards through continuous learning and mutual support among professionals.

Under her guidance, the ACP flourished, becoming a renowned organization known for its commitment to advancing the culinary arts. Through workshops, seminars, networking events, and collaborative initiatives, the ACP became a driving force in promoting excellence within the culinary industry.

ACP IN WORLDCHEFS

The Association of Culinary Professionals Indonesia (ACP) stands out from other culinary associations in a unique and prestigious way: our membership in Worldchefs, the global authority of chef societies. Unlike other associations that may not have the same global recognition, ACP Indonesia's affiliation with Worldchefs allows our members to be part of an international culinary network that spans across borders.

Worldchefs, with its global reach and influence, provides ACP Indonesia members with opportunities for international exposure, learning, and collaboration. It opens doors to a world of culinary expertise and experiences that can't be matched by associations without this affiliation.

Through our connection with Worldchefs, ACP Indonesia is committed to raising the standards of the culinary profession in Indonesia and fostering international culinary cooperation. Our members not only benefit from the expertise within our own association but also tap into a global culinary community.

THE FUTURE

The ACP serves as a platform for culinary professionals to connect with each other, share ideas and resources, and collaborate on various projects and initiatives. Members of the ACP include chefs, cookbook authors, food writers, educators, culinary historians, nutritionists, food photographers, and other professionals in the culinary industry.

The ACP offers a variety of programs and resources to its members, including educational seminars, conferences, workshops, and cooking competitions. Members can also access a wide range of culinary publications, research materials, and industry news through the ACP's website and other publications.

One of the key objectives of the ACP is to promote Indonesian culinary heritage to the world through cooking competitions nationally and internationally.

Mrs. Ganie's pioneering spirit and innovative thinking not only founded the ACP but also set the tone for its future endeavors. Her legacy remains an integral part of the association's history, inspiring generations of culinary professionals to uphold the values of education, networking, and collaboration within the realm of culinary arts.

As part of its commitment to nurturing future chefs, ACP Indonesia has established the Young Chef Club Indonesia(YCCI), a special platform designed for aspiring young chefs. This initiative is open to individuals below 26 years old, whether they are students from culinary schools, universities, or training institutions. By providing a structured environment for learning and networking, YCCI plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of culinary professionals.

YCCI serves as an excellent platform for young chefs to expand their connections before stepping into the competitive culinary industry. Through various events such as workshops, competitions, mentorship programs, and networking sessions, members gain valuable exposure to industry trends and professional insights. This allows them to interact with experienced chefs, industry leaders, and fellow young talents, fostering both professional relationships and personal growth. The association also collaborates with hotels, restaurants, and culinary institutions to provide real-world experiences that enhance their practical skills.

By joining YCCI under ACP Indonesia, young chefs receive early industry exposure and a head start in their careers. The connections they establish and the knowledge they acquire through this association significantly benefit their professional development. This early engagement with the culinary world equips them with the confidence, skills, and networks necessary to succeed in the industry. As a result, YCCI plays a vital role in bridging the gap between education and professional life, ensuring that Indonesia’s future culinary professionals are well-prepared for their careers.

The Association of Culinary Professionals (ACP) Indonesia continues to expand its support for the culinary industry by establishing specialized platforms for different sectors.

ACP Indonesia has now introduced the Indonesian Pastry & Bakery Society (IPBS) as of February 1, 2025. This new platform is dedicated to pâtissiers and bakers, providing them with a space to grow, network, and enhance their skills in the ever-evolving world of pastry and baking.

IPBS serves as a hub for pastry chefs, bakers, and dessert artisans, offering them opportunities to connect, collaborate, and learn from industry experts. Through workshops, masterclasses, and competitions, members can refine their techniques, stay updated on global pastry and bakery trends, and gain exposure to cutting-edge innovations in the field. The society also facilitates connections between professionals and businesses, helping pastry chefs and bakers find career opportunities and build strong professional relationships within the industry.

With the introduction of IPBS, ACP Indonesia now provides a more comprehensive support system for all culinary professionals. Whether young chefs looking to enter the industry through YCCI or seasoned pastry and bakery experts joining IPBS, these platforms help strengthen Indonesia’s culinary scene. By fostering a community of passionate and skilled professionals, ACP Indonesia ensures that the country's culinary talents continue to thrive both locally and internationally.
